I don't know about you, but I tend to get suckered into trying all the latest flavors of Oreos to hit the market. Some are hits and some are misses. The funniest part about it is that I don't often crave an Oreo so they can stay in my pantry for months before I open much less finish a bag. They really don't lose their flavor. They just get softer over time, as opposed to soft cookies that get hard as they age.
In my recent hunt to source the elusive Oreo Blackout Cake Flavored Creme Sandwich Cookies, I stumbled across the hot cocoa flavor. Yes, I see the names of these cookies and I assume it will taste delicious in cookie-form. Marketing really works well on someone like me who gets caught up in the fantasy that the names inspire. Sitting by a cozy fire, curled up with a wintery beverage, hot cocoa Oreos, and a riveting book. Very Norman Rockwell, eh?
Pairing suggestions:
Alcoholic beverage: Mexican hot chocolate
Non-alcoholic beverage: white hot chocolate
